Yes, every MCS registered installation must be notified to your DNO. There are two options.
Option 1
The specified invertor is 3.68KW or less then we notify the DNO on a G98 application which is automatically accepted with zero potential cost.
The G98 no cost option is available for larger inverters where the export KW is limited to 3.68.
Option 2
For inverters greater than 3.68KW you can choose to make a G99 enquiry/application that, if proceeded with, will allow you to export AC power up to the labelled kw value of the invertor. i.e 5kw, 6kw or 7.5kw.

Decided to go with this company because they don’t use high pressure sales like some They give good advice and price Went for 5,4 KW with 5.8KW battery storage The fitters work was neat and tidy inverter and battery fitted in garage You get on line monitoring So in February 2022 we used 298KW February 2023 65KW
