What is an Air Source Heat Pump?
An air source heat pump, often known as an air-to-water source heat pump, extracts heat from the outside air and transfers it to water, which then heats your spaces through radiators or underfloor heating systems. Additionally, it can warm water stored in a hot water cylinder for use at your taps, showers, and baths.
The heat from the air is absorbed by a fluid, which then flows through a heat exchanger into the heat pump. Here, the temperature is increased before the heat is transferred to the water.
